General Information
A: It is an initiative of Government to allow Samoans nationals to invest in our national airline through the Unit Trust of Samoa.
Yes. This is a Government initiative to ensure a structured and transparent process for public ownership in a State-Owned Enterprise.
Money & Investment
The minimum investment amount to participate in the Samoa Airways shareholding initiative is SAT$500.00.
Your funds don’t just sit idle! While the airline completes the necessary arrangements for issuing shares, your money is invested in the UTOS standard investment product. This means your investment stays active and has the potential to earn returns during this interim period.
Once your funds are registered specifically for the airline initiative, they cannot be withdrawn during the interim period. Withdrawals will only be permitted once UTOS formally advises, following the establishment of the airline-specific investment product and acquisition of shares.
Eligibility & Access
This opportunity is exclusively for Samoan Nationals (i.e. Samoan citizens whether by birth, descent, permanent residence, or marriage) both local and overseas.
Yes, as long as you are a Samoan national and provide the relevant documents as proof of citizenship. You can use our dedicated online registration platform at www.utos.ws/airline-investments/ to set up your account from anywhere in the world.
The online platform is currently for individual and joint accounts only. For group or company accounts, please email our team directly at [email protected] for specialized assistance.
Technical & Process
You will not be required to open a new account. However, you will need to inform us of
your intention to register specifically for this initiative so we can register accordingly.
UTOS will maintain a dedicated register to record all funds intended for Samoa Airways
shares to ensure they are tracked correctly.

2. Follow the prompts to open a standard UTOS account (if you don’t have one).
3. Select the Samoa Airways investment option.
Profits / Returns
Returns will be based on the performance of the future operations of Samoa Airways.
